Homeopathy
is a unique form of medicine which uses safe, non-toxic, dilute
substances to promote the patients' own healing processes.
The
body constantly works to maintain good health; e.g. if you have
a cut, your body will spontaneously heal it. So it is with any 'disease',
unless the body is unable, for a variety of reasons, to deal with
the problem.
These
reasons are looked at during the homeopathic consultation and the
treatment is individually attuned to that persons needs.

Anyone
can be treated with Homeopathy, this includes pregnant women, new-born
babies, children, adults, and the elderly; as Homeopathy is very
safe and very effective. It can be used to treat acute and chronic
illness with no side effects or dependency.
As
Homeopathy treats the person who is ill, the list of treatable diseases
is as infinite as each individual problem. However, some examples
are: asthma, acne, allergies, arthritis, catarrh, cystitis, constant
infections, depression, eczema, earache, glue ear, hyperactivity,
endometriosis, irritable bowel syndrome, fibroids, painful periods,
menopausal problems, high blood pressure, hay fever, insomnia, ME,
migraines, thyroid problems, stress, problems in pregnancy, infantile
colic, emotional problems, premenstrual tension, constipation, insomnia,
fatigue/tiredness, and many more.
History
Overview of Homeopathy
Homeopathy
is a system of healing developed by Dr. Hahnermann about 100 years
ago. He moved away from orthodox medicine, which prescribed large
doses of medicines that caused unpleasant side effects. He began
to prescribe minute doses of substances, which in larger doses would
cause the symptoms of the disease that the patient suffered (the
principle of 'like cures like'). This was the beginning of homeopathic
remedies, which gently stimulate the body's own healing power, bringing
it back to balance (health).
